Jams and syrups from the national park bearing the South Tyrolean seal of quality
The Zero-Kilometre Berries

The location alone motivates Peter Seibstock every day to work and do business in harmony with nature. At the heart of the Stilfserjoch National Park, farmers from the vicinity supply him with strawberries, raspberries, black- and redcurrants, and forest fruit.

The cultivation of berries is a long-standing tradition here, and not without good reason: As the cultivation areas are located at high altitudes between 800 and 1,500 metres, where the days are long and sunny and the nights are cool, the berries can unfold their full aroma and are of an exceptionally high quality.

But that is not the only reason why the jams and syrups by the Seibstock manufacture bear the South Tyrolean seal of quality. The farmers traditionally pick the berries by hand, and Peter Seibstock and his team process the fruit at the manufacture with great care. All ingredients are cultivated and processed on site, so that the jams and syrups are produced according to a zero-kilometres principle and in closed cycles.

My greatest motivation is to produce natural products and give the farmers in the cultivation area a reliable source of income”, says Peter Seibstock. In addition, his careful, sustainable marketing strategy is meant to inspire others to strive for more sustainability, too, and to follow suit in some things that the Seibstock manufacture does even today.
