What are the most important criteria?

Individual quality regulations vary depending on the product group and are described in the respective regulatory documents of the seal of quality.


What does it cost to use the quality mark?

After signing the contract for the use of the ‘Qualität Südtirol’ brand, the following costs shall be incurred:

  • Annual fee for trademark use (30 to 200 euros depending on the sector)
  • Annual advertising contribution (varies according to sector)
  • Controlling costs (depending on the sector and the number of quality controls)

What do you do if you manufacture a product that is not awarded the South Tyrolean seal of quality?

The following is a list of all sectors that can so far apply seal of quality. If you produce typical South Tyrolean products from agriculture and traditional food production that are not included, you can suggest to the Office for Trade and Services of the Province of Bolzano that your sector be included in the product range.

How does the application process work?

The application form can be downloaded from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano South Tyrol website.
The address to which the application must be sent is indicated in the application form. On receipt, the Province will check the data and the business will be subjected to an entry inspection. If the evaluation is positive, you may use the brand for your products.
