Finest Herbs from the Nature Park
A remarkable array of plants and herbs has always grown in the pristine countryside surrounding the steep slopes of the Stranzerhof farm, situated at the heart of the Trudner Horn Nature Park in South Tyrol. The people who live and work here, such as Wilma Lazzeri, have been exploiting their properties and powers for generations. Lazzeri inherited a passion for herbs from her mother, and many years ago decided to build her career on them.

Today, the variety of products offered by Stranzerhof includes herbal infusions, herbs and blossoms for making syrups and decorations, and herb and grain pillows. Of these, their herbal infusions and syrups bear the South Tyrolean seal of quality. To make the products, Wilma Lazzeri and her family process both wild and home-grown herbs exclusively by hand: from preparing the soil and weeding to careful harvesting and gentle processing.

Not satisfied with merely manufacturing high-quality natural products, Stranzerhof pursues an ambitious goal of “maintaining the appeal, not only of our farm, but also of the small mountain village in which we live by reviving the old traditions with knowledge and passion.”

The work at Stranzerhof is closely connected with nature. “Sometimes a deer, and occasionally even a fox, will watch me while I work – from a safe distance, of course,” says Wilma Lazzeri. She consequently takes great care to use eco-friendly and sustainable materials, including for packaging. This small business has allowed the farmer to fulfil a lifelong dream. Over the next few years, she now plans to expand her range of products, improve her cultivation techniques and broaden her knowledge of herbs even further.
